That beast just made a mistake (you don't get sloppy with Frank!) and it cost him, up until then I thought he was doing a great job of mashing on Frank.

He looked up for it and looked very powerfull with good speed for a huge guy (ok he isn't that tall but he is frikkin wide!). I laughed at when he hit Mirs arm and he still went flying onto his ass hehe, that's proper power that is.

I personally think he could do very well if he slowed it down a bit and focused some of that power rather than rushing it and wasting half of it missing and arm striking.

Well good luck to him and good luck to Mir with his real comeback although he still doesn't look 100% to me personally.

Joe was saying that boxings popularity is dying while MMA is growing, if you look at the way it's grown at the rate it has grown then there is no doubt that MMA is becomming one of if not the most watched sports on the planet.

Larry I'm not denying a lot of MMA guys disrespect Boxing but that's not me. I like Boxing, I always have and will like it but I like MMA more. Also why does it matter that they do ? A lot of Boxing guys disrespect MMA but that doesn't matter also because at the end of the day if you want to ignore that crap then you can. Most mma fans I've talked to have some kind of strange intense hate for boxing which I can't explain.

Maybe we should just stop reading those posts since mostly fanatics of some kind post there, and they are not an expression of the common opinion.

Btw, I saw some fights from UFC #1 and that was actually interesting, UFC is so far removed from that now. I really liked the tournament setup.

The old UFC was awsome I thought, was funny as hell to watch and it was more of a challenge for the guys involved doing it the tourny way. It cost Royce his fight against Pain (I think it was) after he couldn't carry on 'cos of his fight with Kemo. We also saw Tito make his debute (not in #1) due to a main fighter pulling out and Tito stepping in as an alt.

Boxing is class, a great sport and art but so are the many different arts which go together to make up MMA. It's not hype, it's a bloody damn good sport IMO just like Boxing is in your opinion, different strokes for different folkes.

Boxing guys hate on MMA but MMA guys like Boxing very much, most of the arguments come from the Boxing fans hating on MMA and the MMA fan defending his sport. I agree with Joe on many of his points, some I don't but on the whole I agree that MMA is more enjoyable and entertaining to watch.

I didn't read the thread about Bruce Lee and all that crap, I agree those types of so called fans are a joke, every sport has them I guess and they don't help it's popularity one bit.
