Biography: Students will learn the anatomy and physiology of the Lymphatic System, the MLD technique, and a full one-hour treatment template for MLD of the Face. With this template, estheticians will be able to design/create/individualize treatments of any length to meet the needs of each client. Lymphatic drainage, for those who haven’t experienced this type of massage, is amazing. I always feel so clear, de-puffed, and my skin appears brighter afterwards. My clients love when I perform this modality during their facial massage, and recently theres been a lot more attention to the tools that support lymphatic drainage, like the jade roller and dry brushing. Patients who have had radiotherapy may develop redness of the skin because of their treatment. By 6 to 8 weeks following your radiotherapy there should be skin healing/repair. If your skin is still red and hot you should contact your Head/Neck Nurse Specialist for advice on telephone number 01482461085.
