The Waster = Reaper
|
 |
|
You are such a liar Reaper. You knew well enough he got frozen and decided to do what you are known to do which is freeze ko him.
|
 |
|
You would have to be incredibly stupid not to realise/notice that the other fighter got frozen by the game.
I simply put do not buy your poor excuse specially knowing that you have a known habit of doing that on purpose.
|
 |

First of all no one quits OB.
Yacoob just has a habit of doing this all the time. He leaves and then comes back only to leave again and then comes back...
|
 |
|
Well I hate to say this but I did warn you about his ways... and told you why people do not like him.
Well now you knowfrom first hand experience.

HTF had enough "recent enough" figths on his record to make the top 10.
As far as Viper goes he has good record against peole in top 10. His style in one dimensional but it works for him. Anyway results and records matter not personal opinions when I make the rankings.
Just wait one month for October rankings and then we will get fresh ranks with people who are not online enough dropped off. Have to start from somewhere...
Feroz is very good but did not make it this time. Just for the record teh actual top 10 ranks are done by comparing statistics etc. everything else such as up and comers are just my personal opinions.

Mod please lock this thread. This will be monthly feature and the publisher and editor is me. IF anyone wants to make suggestions or comments PM me.
Also please let this remain as sticky till next month when rankings for October are release.

Dear all,
I have decided to make power rankings a monthly feature. There is no need to release rankings weekly or bi weekly. A month is long enough time for anyone to really improve or decline and just not have bad or good luck streak.
Next rankings will be released one month from now on.
When I have enough data collected I will make these rankings into excel spread sheet so that I can draw out some statistical data.
and without further ado to the actual rankings! There are some significant changes.
Top 10 power rankings for September 2007:
1. Nigel Benn
2. Untoppable
3. HTF
4. Squeezed Head
5. Larry Holmes
6. Black Bear
7. Red Viper
8. Flash
9. Boxa
10. Rocky Marciano
Explanation of rankings:
1. Nigel Benn
- What can anyone say? He has been on fire lately.
2. Unstoppable
- Simply put he would be Unstoppable if only Nigel was not here.
3. HTF
- Will he retire or not is the big question. Everyone hopes he will remain and be here when titles are released. Contender for titles but has also some competition.
4. Squeezed Head
- Deadly accurate with his punching. Make no mistake this guy has complete game but likes to box more than slug.
5. Larry Holmes
- The grand old man of onlineboxing. No other man deserves as much respect as Larry. However the truth is that lately competition has gotten tougher. Everyone has upped their skills. Larry has found it somewhat though to adjust to this situation where new generation has upped their skill and some old vets have returned and on top form.
6. Black Bear
- Black Bear and Red viper share the places 6 and 7. Some people say that Black Bear has better style for title fights but Red Viper is getting to the point where even top ranked opponents have hard time taking him to later rounds. Black Bear still takes 6th spot due to his wides skill range but it is close... very close.
7. Red Viper
- Ranked 7th is Red Viper. This guy deserves respect and get's it now. The truth is that he could as well be ranked 6th. He is the KO artist of onlineboxing. He goes for TKO or KO and that's about it. No point fights for him. He'll KO/TKOyou or get's koed/TKO. Make no mistake... he will be the one doing all that KOing.
8. Flash
- Flash is getting his game together. If he can only adjust his game to deal with super sluggers and KO artists suchs as Red Viper then he will move to top 5 for sure. This guy is good so expect big things from him on the future.
9. Boxa
- Boxa is back with a gym of him own called BxA.
He is getting back there and upping his skills. Only time will tell what sparring with his gym members will do to his skills.
10. Rocky Marciano
- The former P4P hitman. He has been somewhat missing in action and is on decline but can still hold his own enough to be ranked 10th. In future he'll drop out of top 10 if he does not box more to get his timing back.
Just out of top 10 September rankings:
11. Tyrant
- Very skilled fighter and winner of last official OB tournament. Definately champion material but for some reason has been very inconsistent with his performances in the ring lately. If he can shake that inconsistency off we'll definately see big things from Tyrant again in the near future.
12. USA
- Skilled fighter who just needs to get his game back together. Most likely will do excatly that and be ranked mid to high in next rankings.
13. Reaper
- Love him or hate him (well most just hate him) he is closing in on top 10. The guy has some skills but also has trouble in getting any win streaks against top 10 fighters which drops him out of top 10. Can get a win against anyone but then again anyone can lose. Prospect for top 10 in the future.
Up and comers:
1. Ray Jhonson
- Now this guy can defend. If he ever learn how to hit back while keeping that defense of his then he will be a big time threath to anyone.
2. Oscar De La Hoya
- Oscar has skills there is no doubt. As a member of BxA it is likely that he will be back up in top 10.

That idea by Mike Watson is really good. Please add pro/elite (whatever it should be called) room to onlineboxing that only selected group of players can access.
This list of player who can access would be chosen and maintained by board of HOFers.

I agree with HTF. There really is only so much moderators can do when there is no feature to mute people on the game chat. Taking away posting rights on this forums alone would achieve very little. It really has become too childish.
The issues with Vista I had are better now and the game is again playable for me. However like HTF I really don't fight a lot anymore and also have ecided to stay away from this forum as much as I can. I'll occasionally browse it to see if there are any news about onlineboxing 3D. I will play this game every now and then but I will be extremely selective on who I box and who I don't. I will not deal with childish people etc. From now on I will just ignore such persons.
Dear HTF. I also suggest you to continue playing too. You are one of the people I enjoy to box. Just make a list of persons to ignore competely both ingame and on this forum and it will be fun to you again. Don't speak to them, don't box them and don't even acknowledge that they exist no matter what they say or try to get you to speak, comment and box them.
OB ID: Rocky Marciano
Status: RETIRED
Gym: BxA
Sig Style: Beat to the punch
Ducks: High pingers, childish people, people with no manners and respect, idiots and "I know it all"- type of persons who really know next to nothing.
Current power ranking: 6th.

I dont know if this is realted but first it started to take longer to login and now the server is not there.

Reaper has single handidly broken every single "unwritten" rule of onlineboxing. Top of that his behaviour is pretty much apalling although after HTF told Reaper his days in onlineboxing are numbered Reaper seems to have started to behave better.
Top of that he exploited the ranking system bad (well in the end he failed).

blah it was too early to celebrate it is bit better but not really playable. Skipping gives opponent too many free hits. I can not coupe with that lol
See you in 3D.

BTW. Thanks for the PM Mikkel. I am starting to think that the issue has more to do with Java than Vista. Upgrading from 1.5 to 1.6 would propably solve this so I can only hope that the computer center upgrades it. I suppose they got long list of things to do so It propably is not top priority.

Hello again,
Things sure are interesting with Vista. It seems that the onlineboxing Java applet has major trouble loading when I am using Mozilla Firefox (Vista as platform). However when using Internet Explorer the Onlineboxing Java applet has no trouble loading and it works reasonable fine.
Now the actual downloadable client still has some issues with Vista. Actually the problem may be that the Java version here is version 1.5 and has not been upgraded to latest which is 1.6 so in other words it may be a problem associated with Java and not Vista.
In anycase I did detect some very interesting things when trying to make onlineboxing work for me under Vista. Now with XP using the same excat computer and same excat connection I got better ping by using the downloadable client instead the Java applet. However now with Vista (again same computer and same connection) I get clearly better ping with the Java applet and worse ping with downloadable client.
While it is not perfect and does cause occasionally opponent to get in free hits Java applet with Internet Explorer works reasonable well. For me this means I do not have to leave after all since I got the Java applet to work (with internet explorer. It still refuses to co-operate with Mozilla.)
See you all in the ring!
