There is a possibility that upgrading Java from 1.5 to 1.6 could help. I am not sure about this but I think that when switching from XP to Vista they wiped everything clean and are now in process of upgrading various programs, components etc. I can only wait and see if the computer center here upgrades Java globally from 1.5 to 1.6. Maybe it could help but then again maybe it would not do a thing. If only I had admin rights I would upgrade it myself.

Thanks for everyone.
pps. Hey Larry I want to box one final fight against you in tournament room.
ps. I'll still check these forums from time to time and I can be reached trough PMing me to this alt.
Dear all,

2D "version" of onlineboxing is great. I play this game mostly when I am at University in order to take a break from whatever case/project I am doing. Last Sunday this University changed from using Windows XP to using Windows Vista. While Vista does have some very nice features and while it really is an improvement from XP in general I have noticed that it is bit raw meaning it does not run that smooth (the operating system itself runs very smooth but some of the 3rd party software have some trouble). There are no major issues but just little things.

Going back to Windows XP is not an option how unfortunate that may be. In time Vista will get it's service bags and in time it will become "the" operation system to use. It really is good and I can only imagine how excellent it will be when everything gets ironed out.

2D "version" of onlineboxing has issues with running smooth under Vista. The Java Applet client itself has problems loading and the downloadable client has it's own problems. It has problems running smooth. It skips frames and does other things similar to issues caused by lag. However unlike lag this frame skipping happens and is seen only in my end or in general in the end where platform used is Vista.

Just for example if fighter A and B have a match and fighter A is running Vista and fighter B is running XP fighter A will suffer from lag like issues where as everything will run smooth for fighter B. I am affraid 2D is not compatible with Vista for whatever reason. Now since 3D is in the making I do not expect 2D to be made Vista compatible nor it should be. All efforts should be directed towards releasing 3D.

Since I got no option to go back into using XP and since 2D does not really work with Vista that well at all I am afraid I have to retire from onlineboxing till 3D is released. It was fun while it lasted and I hope to see you all in 3D. Take care!

Special thanks for Larry for some very great close fights. Same goes for Boxa. Thanks to Oscar and Ray for being cool persons and helping me to train. Thanks to HTF for being though opponent. Thanks to Unstoppable and Fatny for beating me in the ring and giving me a goal to work towards. Last but not least thanks to Mikkel for this game.

With best regards,

Rocky Marciano
IMHO new ring is too bright it needs darker canvas.
Results: Unstoppable over Rocky Marciano (3-1)
errrrrr lol eh I mean maybe I need more skilled people to box against than Reaper due to unstoppable being so good at this.
LOL Oscar I was pretty mad yesterday. I was losing to everyone. I could not win even a single match so I decided to stay online as long as it would take to shake off the rust.

I managed to shook some of the rust though I am not yet in perfect form.
I am ready for our match Unstoppable. I practiced using Reaper as my punching bag though you are one of the very best so maybe I need a tougher punching bag to get my skills
I have not been on so much lately but despite that I am not skipping the tournament.

I used Reaper as my punching bag to shake some of the rust off.

Let's do the tournament match as soon as we see each other. Good luck and may the best man win.

Sincerely,

Rocky Marciano
Well I have not been on as Rocky Marciano simply put because lately I have been on a deep downward spiral.
In light of recent events I do not think I belong to the top 16 tournament as I am not top 16 material anymore. I belong to this tournament so I am in!
When P4P was started the point was to have fun and train together so that everyone benefits. The main point always was to have fun but it got lost and people started to act childish including me. Simply put P4P is no longer fun to be in for me.

I do not want any of that so I am off.

I am also sorry for my own mistakes and possible stupid behavior I might be guilty of.

Any case P4P has lot of members. It is just couple of guys leaving.

Sincerely,

Rocky Marciano
You, Ray and Ye man are all cool persons but it can not be helped. I am off from P4P.
